Betty I. Parker, 92, a lifetime Warren Resident, died at 6PM Monday September 4, 2017 at Select Specialty Hospital in Warren.
She was born January 27, 1925 in Greenville, Pennsylvania the daughter of Claudius and Mary Gibson Schade.
Betty was a 1943 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and a graduate of Liberty Bible College at the age of 89 with a Certificate of Completion in Theology.
She was a waviered practical nurse at Green Cross Hospital and the former Warren General Hospital. Betty and her husband owned and operated a local restaurant in downtown Warren, Rodney Ann’s. She was also a former waitress at Venerisis Restaurant in Warren. Betty was a member of Covenant United Presbyterian Church in Warren, enjoyed reading, studying the bible, crafting, bowling, playing cards, and crocheting for her family and friends whom she loved dearly.
Her husband Charles V. Parker whom she married January 16, 1943 died March 16, 1979.
She will be sadly missed by three sons, Charles R. Parker and his wife Linda of Warren, Timothy A. Parker and his wife Malinda of Columbus, and Thomas J. Parker of Savannah, Tennessee. Four daughters, Jacquelyne Berardo and her husband Edward of Warren, Claudia Farley and her husband Joe of Savannah, Tennessee, Betsy Linger and her husband Paul of Warren, and Lori Olexo of Niles. 26 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Jonathan Paul Parker, a grandson Alan Joseph Linger, a brother, Claudius “Sonny” Schade Jr., a sister Catherine Phelps, and a son-in-law Carl Olexo.
Friends may call from 11AM to 1PM Friday at the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
Funeral services will be held 1PM Friday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles with Rev. David Black officiating.
Burial will be in Pineview Cemetery.
