Carmella Lepore, 96, of Niles, returned to her heavenly home at 2:00PM Sunday, January 15, 2017 at The Manor at Autumn Hills in Niles.
She was born January 9, 1921, in Niles. the daughter of John and Salvatrice Bruno Bello.
Carmel attended Niles City Schools and later attended Lewis, Wineberger & Hill Beauty Academy. She worked as a hairdresser at Jon’s Beauty Salon where she enjoyed many lifelong friendships.
On July 24,1954 she married Mario Lepore. They enjoyed traveling and family activities until his passing on September 17, 1971.
Carmel was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. She was a devout Catholic and attended daily mass and rosary at both Mt. Carmel and St. Stephen’s Church. Her firm belief in God supported her throughout her life and ultimately gave her peace.
Carmel also volunteered her time with Halsey Taylor, Easter Seals, and worked the Infant of Prague booth at her parish festival for over 40years.
She leaves to cherish her memory her sisters in law, Angeline and Opal Bell, Special nieces, Felicia, Terry, Jeanine, Judy, Carolyn & Marilyn, nephews, Steve, Donald, Tom and Robert. She also leaves several great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Mario, and her siblings, Anthony Bello, Rose, Bello, Pauline Bell, Carmen Bell, Phillip Bell, her twin Sam Bell, Fred Bell and Russell Bell.
Friends may call from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday January 21 at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home In Niles.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Church in Niles, preceded by a 9:30 a.m. prayer service at the funeral
Home.
Burial will follow at St. Stephen Cemetery.
The family wishes to extend sincere gratitude to the entire staff at The Manor, for enriching Carmel’s life, as they were dedicated to making her feel home. They also acknowledge Dr. Micael Ciletti and staff for their care and compassion along with Harbor Light Hospice
