Charles H. Chilton Jr., 85, of Warren, died Saturday June 13, 2015 at his residence.

He was born June 5, 1930 in Niles the son of Charles H. and Catherine Hamil Chilton Sr.

He was a 1949 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and employed at Packard Electric in Warren for 35 years retiring in 1995.

Charles was a member of The First United Presbyterian Church in Niles, American Legion Post 737 in Lake Milton, The East End Athletic Club in Niles, enjoyed fishing, yard work, and building.

He was a United States Naval Veteran from 1949-1950 having served on The U.S.S. Buckley and with The United States Army from 1951-1953 having served in Germany as a radio operator.

He will be deeply missed by his wife Flora “Beth” Callihan Chilton whom he married September 25, 1953, a son Charles Chilton of Kent, Ohio, a daughter Catherine Reble of Struthers, three grandchildren, Ryan Reble, Tyler Reble, and Ashley Chilton, and two great-grandchildren, Kade Reble and William Bratsveen.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Chilton and Eugene Chilton, and four sisters, Dorothy Chilton, Marion Cochran, Virginia Johnson, and Arlene Brewer.

Private funeral services were held.
