Eva F. Ficeti, 88, of Niles died at 6PM Sunday September 25, 2016 at Shepherd of The Valley Lutheran Home in Niles.
She was born August 16, 1928 in Niles the daughter of Nick and Sarah Rubatino Masciangelo.
Eva was a 1946 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and employed as an inspector at Delphi Packard Electric for 30 years retiring in 1983. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles, Mount Carmel Society, Niles Scope, enjoyed ceramics, sewing, baking theme cakes, cooking, making candy, and word search puzzles.
Her husband Dante J. Ficeti whom she married February 8, 1947 died May 8, 1999.
Eva, who loved all holidays, will be deeply missed by a son, Vincent Ficeti and his wife Connie of Niles, two daughters, Janet Ficeti Ranalli of Liberty, and Elaine Ficeti, with whom she made her home, six grandchildren, Lieutenant Colonel Ronald Ranalli and his wife Kellie, Robert Ranalli and his wife Traci, Richard Ranalli, Dante, Gina, and Dominic Ficeti, four great-grandchildren, Gabby, Ruby, Ryan, and Rocco Ranalli, and her dog Little Bite.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Albert, Guido, Patrick, and Alfred Masciangelo.
Friends may call from 5 to 7PM Thursday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles where The Mount Carmel Bereavement Ministry will conduct prayers at 6:30PM.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10AM Friday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church preceded by a 9:30AM prayer service at The Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
