George Corado, 91, of Niles died Sunday April 23, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Hospital Eastland in Warren, Ohio.

He was born February 22, 1926 in Warren the son of Bill and Mary DiCenzo Corado.

He was employed for a short time at Packard Electric and then for 25 years as a sales manager for C and K Beverage Company in Youngstown retiring in 1981. He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles, Army-Navy Post 422, enjoyed golfing, fishing, and was an amateur boxing champion in Trumbull County in 1942.

George was a United States Naval veteran of World War II having enlisted at the age of 17. He served as a Seaman 2nd Class and seen action on D-Day in Normandy and was also in IwoJima, The European and Pacific Theatre. He was discharged in 1946 having been awarded three bronze stars for his service.

His wife Elizabeth DePascale Corado whom he married April 11, 1953 died September 22, 2012.

He will be deeply missed by several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by a daughter Rose Corado, two brothers, John Corado and Don Corado, and four sisters, Marie Ciminero, Betty Rafie, Martha Kincaid, and Ann Camarino.

Private committal services were held.

Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery where George was honored for his military services by The Trumbull County American Legion Honor Guard.
