Harry R. “Weezer” Pissini, 85, of Niles died at 10:30PM Sunday October 19, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family

He was born January 22, 1929 in Niles the son of John and Minnie Belcastro Pissini.

He was a 1947 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and attended Youngstown College for one year. He served as a member of The United States Navy from 1948 to 1952. He was employed for 21 years as manager of the body shop at Baglier Ford and Paz Ford and he was also a property damage estimator for State Farm Insurance for 21 years retiring in 1999.

He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles, Niles Lions Club, lifetime member of Niles Knights of Columbus Council 1681, VFW, American Legion Post 106, The Mahoning Valley Mustang Club and personally owned or rebuilt over 80 mustangs during his lifetime. He was also inducted into the Niles Men’s Bowling Association Hall of Fame in 1997  and was  a United States Naval veteran of The Korean War.

His wife Lois Gonnella Pissini whom he married April 25, 1955 died October 23, 1992.

He will be deeply missed by three sons, John Pissini and his wife Julie of Warren, Harry Pissini and his wife Rosanne of Niles, Michael Pissini and his wife Karen of North Royalton, Ohio, a daughter Mary Gelsomino of Niles, and seven grandchildren,  Michael Pissini, Anthony Pissini, Jessica Pissini, Dominick Pissini, Ashlyn Pissini, Eric Gelsomino, and Gina Gelsomino.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph C. “Blackie” Pissini Sr. and Donald Pissini, and his beloved dog Weezie.

Friends may call from 5 to 8PM Friday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles where The Mt. Carmel Bereavement Ministry will conduct prayers at 7:30PM.

 A Memorial Mass will be held 10AM Saturday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Niles. Harry will be honored for his military service by The Trumbull County American Legion Honor Guard immediately following the mass.
