Joan E. Kovach, 74, of Mineral Ridge, died Thursday January 4, 2018 at The Cleveland Clinic.
She was born March 29, 1943 in Youngstown the daughter of Clark and Estelle Lawrence Martin.
Joan was a 1961 graduate of Niles McKinley High School, employed for 33 years at Packard Electric retiring in 1997, member of The Warren Moose, several square dancing clubs, and The Fuzzy Paws Shih Tzu Dog Rescue.
She enjoyed Seneca Casino trips, traveling, festivals, meeting her high school friends for lunch once a month, and loved her pets who she referred to as her fuzzy kids.
She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Kathy Telego and her husband Tom of Niles, and Ruth Weidemeyer of Niles, two grandchildren Andrew Nagy and Laura Nagy Simms and her husband Mike, and her companion of 22 years, James Wilson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Lawrence Martin, and a grandson, William Young.
Memorial services will be held 11AM Saturday with Pastor Curtis Miller officiating at Cortland Christian Church, 153 Grove Street, Cortland, Ohio 44410.
