Peter C Gargano

Peter Carmen Gargano, 73, of Niles, passed away Thursday April 19, 2018 surrounded by his family at The Cleveland Clinic.

He was born July 12, 1944 in Bagnoli Irpino, Italy the son of Pietro and Michelina Infante Gargano and moved to The United States in June of 1952.

Peter was a 1963 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and a 1969 graduate of Youngstown State University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration. He was employed for the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio as an auditor, and member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles. Peter was an avid power walker and could be seen all over town and the mall walking. His hobbies were playing bocce and working on his vegetable garden. Peter was a Cleveland Browns and Indians fan and had also become a fan of watching tennis .He also enjoyed watching old Western Movies and playing the lottery.

He will be sadly missed by his brother, Attorney John Gargano and his wife Pam of Niles, his sister Loren Gargano of Niles, his nephew Michael Gargano, his nieces Jaclyn Gargano(Jonathan Sliwinski), Jonah(Eric) Anderson, Marissa(Bentley)Reed, and his two great nieces Ava Anderson and Olivia Sliwinski. Peter was a loving and caring brother, uncle, and great uncle who would do anything for his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call Monday from 5PM up until the time of the 6:30PM funeral service at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.

Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
