Ronald J. "Boots" Tisone, 82, of Niles died at 6:02PM Wednesday September 3, 2014 at Crandall Medical Center in Sebring, Ohio.

He was born August 7, 1932 in Youngstown the son of Joseph and Mary Ross Pavolic Tisone.

Ron was a 1950 graduate of Youngstown South High School, employed at Lonardo's Greenhouse in Youngstown, an operating engineer running heavy equipment and later became a business agent for union local 66 for 35 years. He was founder and co-owner of 4 Seasons productions with his wife Laverne, owner of Ohio Christmas Trees and A1 Home Improvements, employed at Mahoning County Clerk of Courts, and as the sexton for Niles City Cemetery where he worked for 12 years before retiring January 31, 2006.

He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles, ITAM Lodge 39, Royal Lancers Hot Rod Club, was captain and precinct committee person for 5th ward of Youngstown, was very involved with local Democratic organizations and played semi-pro baseball for hardhats, and a feather weight champ golden glove.

His wife Laverne I. Beede Tisone whom he married June 27, 1954 died September 26, 2002.

He will be deeply missed by two sons Joseph R. Tisone and his wife Kathy of Boardman and Anthony P. Tisone and his wife Lisa of Ligonier, Pennsylvania, three daughters, Robin Santiago and her husband Al of North Lima, Ohio, Pierette Clapper and her husband David of Struthers, and Karen Morales and her husband Louis of Youngstown, a sister Shirley Ferenczy Needles of Brookfield, eleven grandchildren, Treisha Brumbaugh(Jim) of Tennessee, Tori Pondoff-Horvath(Robb) of New Springfield, A.J. Santiago of North Lima, Dominique Clapper of Struthers, Alexandria Tisone of Canfield, Joshua Morales of Youngstown, Matthew Morales(Brittney) of Struthers, Anthony Tisone Jr. of Boardman, Rhonda Tisone of Austintown, Jamie Warner of Ligonier, and Olivia Tisone of Ligonier, and six great-grandchildren, Dylan Davis, Hunter Horvath, Antonio and Isaac Morales, Isabella Tisone, and Natalia Morales.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Desiree Joy Clapper and a great-granddaughter Kailyn Nichole Orr.

Friends may call Sunday from 3 to 6PM at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles where The Mount Carmel Bereavement will conduct prayers at 5:45PM.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 1:00PM Monday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles preceded by a 12:30PM prayer service at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
