Rosalina “Rose” Caroselli, 93. of Niles died at 1:50AM Tuesday September 30, 2014 at Shepherd of The Valley Lutheran Home in Niles.
She was born March 8, 1921 in St. Vincenzo, Italy the daughter of Ralph and Maria Verna Capuzzi.
Rose was employed as an inspector at Delphi Packard Electric for 30 years retiring in 1977, a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles, Mt. Carmel Infant Jesus of Prague Guild, and Mt. Carmel Society. She was also a member of St. Vincent DePaul Society, Sierra Club, St. Stephen Catholic Women’s Club, Niles Red Cross volunteer, and Niles Lady Knights of Columbus Council 1681 member and past president.
She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, sewing, knitting, cooking, and catering to her grandchildren.
Her husband of 68 years, John Caroselli whom she married October 11, 1941 died June 27 2009.
She will be deeply missed by a son Kelly Caroselli and his wife Darlene of Warren, a sister Sadie Pluto of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, two grandchildren, David Caroselli and his wife Anna of Reynoldsburg, Ohio and Brian Caroselli of Canton, Georgia, and three great-grandchildren, Gavin, Gabriella, and Gracelyn.
She was preceded in death by a brother Anthony Capuzzi and a sister Angelina Walters.
Friends may call Friday from 5 to 8PM at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles where The Mt. Carmel Bereavement Ministry, the Mt. Carmel Society, and The Infant Jesus of Prague Guild will conduct prayers at 7:30PM.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10AM Saturday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Niles with Fr. Fred Trucksis officiating, preceded by a 9:30AM prayer service at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
