Rosemary P. Barber

Rosemary P. Barber, 88, of McDonald, died at 11:59PM Wednesday August 24, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born April 5, 1928 in Niles the daughter of Vincent and Mary Cretella Philomeno.

She was a 1946 graduate of Niles McKinley High School, employed for 30 years as a bulb assembler at General Electric Trumbull Lamp retiring in 1989, a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in McDonald, enjoyed cooking, dancing with her dancing friends, and spending time with her family.

She will be deeply missed by her husband Frank Barber, whom she married October 15, 1949, three sons, Joseph Barber and his wife Deborah of Niles, Richard Barber and his wife Susan of Greenville, South Carolina, and Kenneth Barber and his wife Laurie of McDonald, four grandchildren, Julie Edwards and her husband Ron, Andrea Barber, Austen Barber, and Brandon Barber, two great-grandchildren, Dakota Edwards and Jazmin Jackson, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Anthony Philomeno, Ralph Philomeno, and Vincent Philomeno.

Friends may call from 4 to 7PM Sunday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles where The Mt. Carmel Bereavement Ministry will conduct prayers at 6:30PM.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10AM Monday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles preceded by a 9:30AM prayer service at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
