Russell J. Sebbio Sr., 91, of Niles died at 8:00AM Monday October 6, 2014 at Vista at The Ridge in Mineral Ridge.
He was born June 15, 1923 in Niles the son of Joseph and Mary Zaccone Sebbio.
He was a 1941 graduate of Niles McKinley High School, employed for 30 years at Allied Metals retiring in 1985 a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles and Church Usher. He was also a member of The Niles Lions Club, enjoyed gardening, and a United States Army veteran of World War II.
His wife Rose Pepe Sebbio whom he married July 16, 1955 died December 6, 1985.
He will be deeply missed by a son Dr. Russell J. Sebbio Jr. D.D.S. of Sagamore Hills, Ohio, a brother, Ignace Sebbio of Austintown, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Anthony Sebbio, Joseph Sebbio, and Frank Sebbio and two sisters Rose Latone and Constance Biviano.
Friends may call Wednesday from 5 to 7PM at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles where The Mount Carmel Bereavement Ministry will conduct prayers at 6:30PM
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10AM Thursday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles preceded by a 9:30AM prayer service at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery where Russell will be honored for his military services by The Trumbull County American Legion Honor Guard.
Arrangements are being handled by The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
