Sally I. George, 76, of Niles, died at 5:31AM Tuesday July 11, 2017 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren, Ohio.
She was born April 27, 1941 in Youngstown, Ohio the daughter of Anthony and Fannie Pascarella Marr.
Sally was a 1959 graduate of Niles McKinley High School, a graduate of Cerritos College in Norwalk, California with an Associate of Arts Degree in Business, and attended Youngstown State University working towards a bachelors degree in social work until withdrawing from school to take care of her grandchildren.
She was employed as a legal secretary for Samuel Sussman, attorney at law, in Downey California, owned and operated Capriccio Fashion Store in Orange, California, and sold real estate for Nancy Stauffer and Paul Davis of Reliable Real Estate in Niles, Ohio.
Sally was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles where she helped institute Adoration of The Blessed Sacrament, attended The Basilica and National Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon in North Jackson, member of The Marian Movement of Priests Cenacle Prayer Group, and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and decorating.
Sally will be sadly missed by her mother of Niles, her husband Roy George whom she married June 4 1960, a son Shawn George and his wife Lori of Lordstown , a daughter Robin Vaccaro and her husband Chase of Cary, North Carolina, a sister Toni Weeks and her husband Kenneth of Niles, seven grandchildren, Joshua and his wife Sarah, Brett, Brianna, Ella, Anthony, Johnny, and Cecilia, and two great-grandchildren, Josie and Mary
She was preceded in death by her father and a son Mark George.
Friends may call from 5 to 7PM Thursday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles where a Service of Incense will be held at 6:30PM. Friends may also call Friday from 10 to 11AM at The Basilica and National Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon in North Jackson.
A funeral liturgy will be held at 11AM Friday at The Basilica and National Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon officiated by Chorbishop Anthony Spinosa.
Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
Arrangements are being held by The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
