Concetta M. “Jennie” DeMaiolo, 95, of Niles passed away at 9:32AM Wednesday October 24, 2018 at her residence.
She was born May 6, 1923 in Bagnoli Irpino, Italy the daughter of Dominic and Josephine DeCapua Macchia.
She was a 1941 graduate of Niles McKinley High School, a homemaker, member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles, The Little Flower Girls Club,and volunteer at The Mount Carmel School Cafeteria. She enjoyed cooking, baking, playing cards, polka dancing with her husband, spending time with her grandchildren, traveling, and attending The Kenley Players wherever they performed.
Her husband Anthony N. DeMaiolo Sr. whom she married November 6, 1948 died January 20, 2012.
She will be sadly missed by her son Anthony N. DeMaiolo Jr. with whom she made her home, and his friend Monica Reese, two daughters Janet Smith and her husband Brad of Poland and Denise Hruska and her husband Allen of Cornersburg, a sister Angeline Babigoff and her husband George of Michigan, three grandchildren, Brian Smith and his wife Meredith, Justin Hruska, and Caitlin Hruska.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Macchia and a sister Antoinette Scudieri.
Friends may call Friday from 6 to 8PM at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles where The Mount Carmel Bereavement Ministry will conduct prayers at 7:30PM.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10AM Saturday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles preceded by a 9:30AM prayer service at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
