Dorothy I. Leo, 93, of Chicago, Illinois, formerly of Niles, Ohio, passed away Friday, January 4th, 2019 at Presence Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago.
Dorothy was born November 19, 1925 in Apollo, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Samuel and Mildred Crusan Bradley.
She was employed as an inspector at General Electric in Niles and Packard Electric for twenty years. She also worked at Carlisle’s Department Store. She was an active member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Niles, Niles Scope, Niles Historical Society and the Niles Catholic Women’s Society.
She moved to Chicago four years ago to make her home with her daughter, Teresa Groat, son-in-law Jeff and grandsons Max and Ted. She grew to appreciate the Cubs and Chicago deep dish pizza. An avid Elvis fan, she attended many tribute concerts featuring her favorite performer.
Her first husband, Felix A. Rossi, whom she married May 7, 1949, died December 14, 1976.
Her second husband, Frank Leo, whom she married in 1978 died in 2001.
She will be deeply missed by her daughter Teresa, son-in-law Jeff,
grandsons Max and Ted, step-children William Leo and his wife Grace, Pat McMaster and her husband Jack, Beth Pipnur, a sister Gladys Johnson of Boardman, daughter-in-law Mary Murphy of Niles and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Rossi, a brother, Robert Bradley, and three sisters, Eva Tatasio, Phylis Bradley and Edna Bradley.
Friends may call Sunday from 2PM up until the time of the 4PM funeral service at the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery
