Gene N Bergana

Gene N. Bergana, 66, of Niles died at 10:11AM Tuesday May 1, 2018 at his residence.

He was born October 12, 1951 in Warren the son of Gene A. and Rose Simeone Bergana.

Gene was a 1969 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and a 1973 graduate of Youngstown State University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Education.  He was employed as a substitute teacher for The Niles City School System for two years and as a mill operator at U. S. Steel for 15 years.

He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles, The Youngstown Maennerchor, and member and past president of Niles Eagles. Gene enjoyed music, classic cars, antiques and collectables, avid Cleveland Browns, Indians, and Cavs fan, and was very family oriented.

He will be sadly missed by three brothers, David Bergana and his wife Patti of Niles, Leonard Bergana of Niles, Charles Bergana and his wife Marti of Columbus, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Private family services were held.
