Josephine Nicastro, 87, of Niles, died at 6:45AM Tuesday March 27, 2018 at her
residence.
She was born March 18, 1931 in Niles the daughter of John and Angeline Cione Infante.
She was a graduate of Niles McKinley High School and was employed as a cook at Our Lady of Mount Carmel School in Niles for several years. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles, The Immaculate Conception Society, and Bagnoli Iripino Club. She enjoyed cooking, traveling the world with her husband and cherished spending time with her family and friends. She loved spending winters in Arizona with her children and visiting the casinos.
Her husband Louis Marney Nicastro , whom she married August 26, 1950, died January 10, 2014.
She will be sadly missed by her son, Lawrence Nicastro of Scottsdale, Arizona, her daughter Marnie Nicastro and John O’Brien of Scottsdale, Arizona, her two grandchildren, Kira Nicastro and Kristin Nicastro and her brother Theodore Infante of Niles, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael Infante and John Infante Jr., and sister Mary Russo.
Friends may call Friday from 9:30AM to 11AM at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
Funeral services will be held 11AM Friday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles. Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
