Larry Francis Grolemund

Larry Francis Grolemund, 63, of Niles died at 3:29PM Sunday February 11, 2018 at Trumbull Regional Medical Center in Warren.

He was born May 8, 1954 in Sharon, Pennsylvania the son of Francis and Viola Hartel Grolemund.

Larry was a 1972 graduate of Brookfield High School, received his Associates Degree in Applied Science in 1981 and his Bachelors of Science Degree in Applied Science in 1994, both from Youngstown State University. 

 He was employed as a Certified Respiratory Therapist at Trumbull Memorial Hospital for 37 years retiring in 2009, attended St. Stephens Catholic Church in Niles and enjoyed fishing, yard work, loved his pet dogs and cats, and was a Santa Helper.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Kathleen Shonk(Fillian) Grolemund whom he married December 28, 2002, a son Joseph C. Fillian and his wife Melanie of Champion, a daughter Holly Scott of Howland, two sisters, Yvonne M. Turco of Apex, North Carolina and Cheryl A. Beil of Hubbard, , six grandchildren, Shane, Nathan, and Madeline Scott; Alyssa, Alexander, and Anthony Fillian, his mother-in-law Shirley Parilla Shonk of Niles, sister in law Patricia A. Grolemund of Austintown and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, twin brother Gary Grolemund, and an infant brother Ronald Lee Grolemund.

Friends may call from 4 to 7PM Wednesday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10am Thursday at St. Stephen Church in Niles, preceded by a 9:30am prayer service at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Kerr Cemetery.
