Phyllis Turcich

Phyllis Turcich, 91, of Girard, passed away at 1:00AM Tuesday July 31, 2018 at Mercy Health St. Elizabeth’s Youngstown Hospital.

She was born March 3, 1927 in Warren the daughter of Marcus and Helen Ford Shaw.

Phyllis was employed as a mounter for 42 years at Ohio Lamp in Warren retiring in 1987 and a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Girard.

Her husband Carl Turcich whom she married August 2, 1946 died February 23, 1997.

She will be sadly missed by a son Timothy Turcich and his wife Kathy of Girard, a daughter Carlie Lou Koch of Niles, three grandchildren, James Koch(Jen Perry), Jeff Scoville and his wife Missy, and Jason Scoville and his wife Shaunna, six great-grandchildren, Jared Koch, Logan Scoville, Jacob Scoville, Julianna Scoville, Jenna Scoville, and Jillian Scoville, and a son-in-law Dennis Scoville of Liberty.

She was preceded in death by a son, Carl Turcich Jr., a daughter Carole Lyn Scoville, two brothers, Mark Shaw and Kenneth Shaw, step-father William McKnight, and son-in-law Ed Koch.

Private services will be held at a later date.

Burial will be in Pineview Cemetery.
