Richard W. Kromer, 89, of Niles, died at 1:33AM August 20, 2017 at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Younstown.
He was born May 20, 1928 in Gates, Pennsylvania the son of Reuben and Christine Camencheck Kromer.
Richard was a 1946 graduate of German Township High School, employed as a coal miner for U.S. Steel –Rubenia Mines in Green County, Pennsylvania, member of The Jehovah Witnesses, avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan, and a United States Army veteran of The Korean War.
His wife Leona Bard Kromer whom he married May 3, 1955, died November 26, 2016.
He will be sadly missed by a son Robert Kromer and his wife Carole of Niles, two grandchildren, Robert Kromer Jr. and his wife Marianne of Niles and Kristen Holland and her husband Matthew of Liberty, and four grandchildren, Donovan Jacob, Kennedy Elizabeth, Haley, and Riley Ann.
Private funeral services will be held at a later date.
