Alice B. Vitale, 84, of Niles, died at 9:05AM Friday March 4, 2016 at her residence.

She was born June 5, 1931 in Harmony, Pennsylvania the daughter of Alvah and Clara Adams Strickenburg.

Alice was a homemaker, a member of The Eastern Star in Cortland, enjoyed bowling, cooking, gardening, flowers, dancing, and trips to the lake and the ocean.

Alice who was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, will be deeply missed by her husband of 63 years, Joseph J. Vitale whom she married February 14, 1953, three sons, Joseph G. Vitale and his wife Nerissa of Wimberley, Texas, Ted W. Vitale and his wife Judy of Ashtabula, Ohio, and Perry D. Vitale and his wife Lisa of Warren, a daughter Bonnie Kay Jarome and her husband Frank of Niles, a brother Alvah Strickenburg Jr. and his wife Sherry of New Castle, Pennsylvania, five grandchildren, Frank Jarome and his wife Kristin, Thomas Jarome and his wife Maggie, Timothy Jarome and his wife Anne, Nicholas Vitale, Miranda Vitale, and a great-grandson Daniel Jarome.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Saxton and Ruth Seberth.

Friends may call from 4 to 7PM Monday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.

Funeral Services will be held 10AM Tuesday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles with Alice's oldest son Joseph officiating.

Burial will be in Greenhaven Cemetery in Canfield.
