Amedeo "Jake" Salvador, 94, of Niles, passed away on Friday August 27, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born January 17, 1927 in Barcis, Italy the son of Giovanni and Maria Berolo Salvador. Jake was employed as a line repairman at General Motors Lordstown for 25 years retiring in 1995, a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles, enjoyed fishing, bowling, traveling,  and casino trips. His wife Frances "Fanny" Durastante Salvador whom he married October 23, 1948 died April 29, 2018. Jake will be deeply missed by his son John Salvador and his wife Susan of Warren, his daughters Viviane Watson of Warren and Tina Salvador with whom he made his home, his grandson Robert Watson and his wife Maria, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother Gilbert Salvador and two sisters, Rina Cardarelli and Janet Venturini. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10AM Wednesday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles. Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
