Amelia Infante, 78, of Niles died 3:40pm Wednesday March 7th at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren and can now rest in peace with the Lord.

Amelia was born on June 22, 1933 in Bagnoli Irpino, Italy the daughter of Lorenzo and Raffaela Chieffo Infante.

She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles and was employed at Shepard of the Valley Nursing Home in Niles as a housekeeper for 19 years before retiring in 1989.

Amelia was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother that truly enjoyed her family. She especially enjoyed attending her grandchildren's sporting events, and loved cooking, playing cards, bocce, and traveling to Florida for the winters.

She will be deeply missed by her husband Emilio Infante, whom she married on August 18, 1960, a son Dominic Infante and his wife Valerie of Niles, a daughter Louise Merlo and her husband Joe of Niles, two sisters Michelina Gargano of Niles and Anenna Gramaglia of Mondella, Italy, and four grandchildren that called her Nonna; Joseph, Raffaela, Nicolette and Gabriella.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother Mike Infante.

Friends may call 9-11am Saturday March 10th at the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:30am Saturday March 10th at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles, officiated by Rev. Nicholas Shori, preceded by a 11am prayer service at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.

Amelia's family would like to thank everyone who touch her life during her illness including family, friends and all of those who tried to heal and comfort her from pain.
