Obituary

Angelo L. DeLucia, 84, of Niles, died at 2:25AM Thursday, August 29, 2013 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren, Ohio.

The son of James and Josephine Infante DeLucia, he was born November 21, 1928 in Niles where he lived his entire life.

Angelo was a 1948 graduate of Niles McKinley High School. A familiar face in town, he worked 36 years as a produce manager for A&P and Sparkle Markets, retiring in 1987. Many will remember him as owner and operator of the Time Saver Dairy on Pearl Street in Niles.

He was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church and the United Food and Commercial Workers Union. A devoted family man, he enjoyed family reunions, gardening and attending his children's and grandchildren's sporting events and activities.

Angelo served in the U. S. Army as a medical lab technician during the Korean War and was stationed in Germany and France for four years. He also served with the Naval Reserves for two years.

Angelo, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, will be deeply missed by his wife of 60 years, Eileen McGuirk DeLucia whom he married May 23, 1953, three sons: James (Theresa) DeLucia of Newport News, Virginia; Ralph (Susan) DeLucia of Cobbs Creek, Virginia; Joseph (Suzie) DeLucia of New Middletown, Ohio; five daughters: Patti (David) Tricomi of Howland; Linda (Joe) Costine of Clayton, North Carolina; Laurie DeLucia of Howland; Tina DeLucia of Howland, and Angela DeLucia of Niles; a sister Edith Pallante of Niles, grandchildren, Michael (Amy) Tricomi, Rachel Tricomi, Tanner Costine, Chrissy (Mike) Cosentino, Kylee McDonough, Angela DeLucia, Scott DeLucia, Tony DeLucia, Danielle DeLucia, Nicholas DeLucia, and Sarah DeLucia.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph DeLucia and Lewis DeLucia, and two sisters - Irene Alfera and Carmel Ritter.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 PM Monday, Sept. 2, at the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 AM Tuesday, Sept. 3, at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Niles with Father Thomas Kraszewski officiating, preceded by a 9:30 AM prayer service at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery with military honors by the Trumbull County American Legion Honor Guard.

Arrangements are being handled by the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
