Angelo J. Sgambati Sr., 79, of Cortland, died at 6:55AM Monday April 16, 2018 at St. Joseph's Warren Hospital.

He was born January 29, 1939 in Niles the son of John and Carmella Urso Sgambati.

Angelo was a 1958 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and employed as a pressman at Warren Printing retiring in 2001.He attended Vienna United Methodist Church where he was a volunteer and also volunteered at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Warren. He enjoyed woodworking, camping,and fishing. He was a United States Marine Corps Veteran of The Korean War.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Louise Huff Sgambati whom he married December 31, 1988, two sons Angelo J. Sgambati Jr., of Niles and David Huff and his wife Barbara of Center Township, Pennsylvania, two daughters, Tammy Day of Niles and Cindi Jones and her husband Raymond of Clarion, Pennsylvania, 10 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother and a daughter-in-law Tami Sgambati.

Friends may call from 10AM to 11AM Saturday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.

Funeral services will be held 11AM Saturday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles with Pastor Mary Prior officiating. Angelo will also be honored for military service by The Trumbull County American Legion Honor Guard right before the services.

In lieu of flowers material contributions can be made to The Vienna United Methodist Church, 4265 Warren-Sharon Road, Vienna, Ohio 44473.

Arrangements are being handled by The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
