Anna M. Hoover, 93, of Niles, died Monday morning February 26, 2024 at Shepherd of the Valley Nursing Home in Liberty. She was born on September 12, 1930 in Niles the daughter of David and Mary Fillian Russell. Anna was a 1948 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and also attended Kent State University studying education. She was employed as a dispatcher at the Howland Police Department and Niles Police Department for many years..She later worked at the City of Niles in the Building and Zoning Office before retiring at the age of 82. Anna was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Niles. She enjoyed researching things on her computer, ceramics and she loved going to work everyday. She will be deeply missed by her son Russell "Russ" Hoover of Niles, daughter Beth Nussle and her husband Herb of Westlake, Ohio and also her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother David John Russell. Friends may call from 9-10:30a.m.Saturday March 2nd at the Joseph Rossi & Sons Funeral Home in Niles. Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday March 2nd at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Niles, preceded by a 10:30 a.m. prayer service at the funeral home.
