Anna Mae Rossi Zofko, 90, of Niles died Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Shepherd of The Valley in Howland.
She was born July 16, 1923 in Niles, Ohio. She was the daughter of Herman and Helen Moosey Rossi.
She was a 1941 graduate of Niles McKinley High School, was employed as a dental assistant for Ralph A. Snelson D.D.S. in Warren, and owned and operated Zofko's Marvel Pastry Shoppe in Warren with her husband Andy from 1946 to 1989.
Anna Mae was a homemaker and member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles. As a member of The Our Lady of Mount Carmel Society, she was actively involved as president and church pizza sale chairwomen. Anna Mae also served the community as a Girl Scout leader for five years and Jefferson Elementary PTA.
She enjoyed dancing, shopping, cooking, and hosting friends and family. She especially enjoyed her afternoon cup of coffee, a good piece of chocolate or "goodie," family gatherings at holidays and Sunday dinners around her kitchen table. She was also a member of The Chip and Putt golf league at Old Avalon.
Her husband Andrew "Poochie" Zofko, whom she married January 31, 1946, died on January 22, 2002.
Anna Mae, who was affectionately known as "Mumyum" to her family, will be deeply missed by two sons Martin A. Zofko and his wife Olga of Howland and David Zofko and his wife Rebecca of Niles, and a daughter Mary Jeanine Pipino and her husband Jim of Howland. She is also survived by two brothers, Herman Rossi Jr. of Niles and Carmen Rossi and his wife Pat of Niles, seven grandchildren, Molly Moore and her husband Todd of Columbus, Sara Zofko of Los Angeles, Natalie Zofko of Columbus, Mary Elizabeth Zofko and her fiancAC.e Rob Gillie of Columbus, Jimmy and Marisa Pipino of Howland, and Elena Pipino of Raleigh, North Carolina, and a great-grandson Jack Moore of Columbus.
She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Thomas A. Rossi Sr. and Robert Rossi.
Friends may call on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home where Mount Carmel Bereavement Ministry will conduct prayers at 6:30 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Niles with Father John S. Trimbur officiating, preceded by a 9:30 a.m. prayer service at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
