Anthony Ray Candel, 70, of McDonald, passed away on Thursday May 11, 2023 at his residence. He was born March 10, 1953 in Warren, the son of Anthony C. and Eloise (Campbell) Candel. Mr. Candel was a 1971 graduate of Niles McKinley High School. He was first employed with Sharon Steel, and later as an office manager with a prominent area physician. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish in Niles, enjoyed real estate, auto restoration and spending time with his grandchildren. His wife Marilyn (Black) Candel whom he married May 12, 1973 died May 20, 2014.He will be deeply missed by two sons Anthony M. Candel of Niles and Michael Candel and his wife Tammy of McDonald, a daughter Melissa Bender and her husband Rob of Niles, two brothers Charles Candel of Beachwood,and David Candel and his wife Vickie of Vienna, two sisters, Susan Hoy and her husband Ray of Holiday, Florida, and Doris Candel of Warren, as well as six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends may call two hours prior to the 11AM funeral service Tuesday at the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles. Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
