Anthony "Duke" Flarey, 91, a life long resident of Niles, died at 2:20PM Tuesday September 2, 2014 at his daughter's residence in Youngstown.

He was born December 18, 1922 in Cupello, Italy the son of Umberto and Giannina Colamarino Flaviano.

He was a 1940 graduate of Niles McKinley High School, employed at LTV Republic Steel, The Niles City School System, and a veteran of World War II having served as a 1'st Lieutenant in The United States Army stationed in Japan.

His beloved wife Rose Lastic Flarey whom he married August 28, 1943 died May 27, 2002.

He will be deeply missed by a son Anthony Flarey and his wife Sherry of Niles, a daughter Roseann Moga and her husband Dan of Youngstown, a brother Sam Accordino of Niles, two sisters, Betty Ann LeMasters of Howland and Dora Perone of Girard, two grandchildren, Dr. Anthony Guy Flarey and his wife Dr. Lisa and Christine Lynn Schneider and her husband Jeff, and six great-grandchildren, Jillian and Molly Schneider, and Noelle, Nick, Jordan and Jennah Flarey.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Russell Accordino and Dominick P. Flarey and four sisters, Laura Infante, Carmella Ettaro, Marion Tricomi, and Mary Poli.

The family wishes to give special thanks to Southern Care Hospice for their kind and compassionate care for Anthony.

Private funeral services will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are being handled by The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
