IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Anthony J.
Perry
August 4, 1952 – November 19, 2023
Anthony J. Perry, 71, of Niles, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 19, 2023, at Trumbull Memorial Regional Medical Center. He was born in Turin, Italy, the son of Victor and Pauline Gontkovsky Perry and grew up in Girard, Ohio. He graduated from Girard High School in 1970. From there he entered the grocery business, and retired after many years of dedicated service. He was a long time and proud member of his grocery Union. Over the years he made many friends of co-workers and customers and his easy-going and friendly personality made him a pleasure to be around. He had a great love for animals. He had a passion and love for old time movies, especially westerns and could easily name old movies, the dates they were made and all of the actors in the movies. He loved going out to eat and made many friends along the way, especially at his favorite restaurant Yankee Kitchen in Vienna. He cherished his time spent with many friends over dinners. He leaves to cherish his memory several very close friends who were a second family to him, as well as a cousin, Patricia Galick of Vienna who he was close with all of his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Victor Perry, and an aunt, Kay M. Beach who he was very close to, as well as many aunts and Uncles. He was also preceded in death by his beloved dog, "Rocky." His second family of very close friends would like to extend a very special thank you to his close neighbors and very close friends Angelo Corturillo and Ted Sloban, who were always there to help Anthony in so many ways during the past four years of his many health challenges. They went way above and beyond what any could imagine in their assistance and compassion in helping with his care and with the care of his home. Their kindness and generosity will always be remembered with the deepest gratitude. We would also like to thank the owners of Yankee Kitchen in Vienna, Ohio who were so kind and generous to have meals delivered to Anthony following hospitalizations, they too were like family to him. We thank all the others who over the past years of his health challenges who visited, brought him meals and helped cheer him up with cards, letters, phone calls and gifts. You all made his final years much brighter. As per Anthony's wishes, services were private. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown, Ohio. It is requested that any thoughts of memorial gifts or contributions please be made to Anthony's favorite charity, Angels for Animals, 4750 West South Range Rd, Canfield, OH 44406. Funeral arrangements by the Joseph Rossi & Sons Funeral Home, Niles, Ohio Run to Rocky Anthony, he is waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge!
