Bertha J. Martin, 95, of Niles passed away Saturday December 7, 2019 at Hospice of The Valley Hospice House in Poland.

She was born March 22, 1924 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania the daughter of Matthew and Dorothy Sand Putanko.

Bertha was a 1942 graduate of North Uniontown High School and employed as a P47 and B29  Riveter at an assembly plant  in Michigan during World War II. She was  a member of St. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church in Warren.

Her husband James M. Martin whom she married September 2, 1945 died December 14, 2003.

She will be sadly missed by three sons, James K. Martin and his wife Gloria of Niles, Paul A. Martin and his wife Theresa of Niles, and Matthew Martin of Niles , five grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren

She was preceded in death by a brother, and six sisters.

Friends may call from 11AM to 1PM Friday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.

Funeral services will be held 1PM Friday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles

Burial will be in Pineview Cemetery.
