Calogero "Carlo" Salvatore Agati, 80, of Niles died at 8:40AM Wednesday February 1, 2017 at Vista Care Center at The Ridge in Mineral Ridge.

He was born December 15, 1936 in Gioiosa Marea, Italy the son of Guiseppe and Antonia Calabria Agati and came to The United States in 1968.

Carlo was employed as a shearer at Allied Metals in Niles for seven years and for the city of Niles for ten years retiring in 2000, a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles, ITAM, San Fellipo Neri Lodge, and Niles Knights of Columbus Council 1681. He was an avid gardener, enjoyed playing cards, wine making, cooking tomato sauce, spending time with his family, and served with the Italian Army for two years.

His wife Yolanda DeLuca Agati whom he married October 14, 1961 died April 5, 2010.

Those left to cherish his memories are two sons, Guiseppe Agati and his wife Lori of Lordstown, and Antonino Agati of Niles, a daughter Antoinette Roberts and her husband Dino of Las Vegas, Nevada, a brother Ignazio Agati of Italy, a sister Rosa Agati of Switzerland, six grandchildren, Alicia Agati, Joseph Salvatore Agati, Angela Agati, Miriah Roberts, Dino Roberts Jr., Enzo Roberts, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother Rosario Agati and a sister Rosaria Agati.

Committal services will be held Tuesday at 11:30AM at The Pineview Cemetery Chapel

Burial will be held in Pineview Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
