Carol Ann Mauro, 66, of Houston, Texas, formerly of Niles passed away at 4:45AM Thursday August 15, 2019 at Mercy New Life Hospice in Lorain, Ohio.

She was born January 12, 1953 in Warren the daughter of Mike and Rose Marsico Mastromatteo.

Carol was a 1971 graduate of John F. Kennedy High School and a 1975 graduate of Youngstown State University with a degree in computer science. She was employed as an I.T. Specialist at RMI in Niles and also at Insperity in Houston. Carol was of The Catholic Faith, member of The Houston Italian Club, enjoyed skiing, cooking, baking, and an avid golfer.

Carol leaves behind her two beloved rescue dogs, Zach and Bennett, as well as many family members, friends, and co-workers in The Niles, Columbus, Houston, Youngstown, Erie, Las Vegas areas as well as in Italy.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial Services will be held noon Tuesday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
