Carol Ann(Damore) Nestor, age 76, of Niles, OH passed away Monday December 21, 2020 at Mercy Health St. Joseph's Warren Hospital after a difficult battle with Covid-19.

She was born in Tamaqua, PA on March 12, 1944 to the late Joseph and Nancy (Ruggeri) Damore.

Carol was a 1962 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. She was an active parishioner at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Niles. Carol's greatest joy in life was her family - her husband, 3 children, 5 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. Carol had a way of bringing everyone together around the dinner table with her famous Italian cuisine. Some of her family's fondest memories are from the times spent learning from Carol in the kitchen while sharing stories and endless laughs. No matter the distance, Carol rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on her grandkids.

Carol is survived by her husband of 56 years, Bob Nestor, whom she married on October 10, 1964; daughter Diane (Tom) Masciangelo of Columbus, OH; son Rob (Lynn) Nestor of Chagrin Falls, OH; son Jeff (Lisa) Nestor of East Lansing, MI; grandson Patrick (Katie) Masciangelo of Chicago, IL; granddaughter Carolyn (Vincent) Lombardo of Upper Arlington, OH; granddaughters Olivia and Ava Nestor of Chagrin Falls, OH; granddaughter Elena Nestor of East Lansing, MI; and great-granddaughter Izzy Masciangelo. She will also be missed by her brothers and sisters; Michael Damore, Joseph (Julie) Damore, Shirley Parker, Chuck (Nancy) Nestor, Dave (Mary Ann) Nestor, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Carol's family would like to extend their gratitude to the extraordinary health care team of St. Joseph's ICU; in particular, Nurse RJ Nagy and Dr. David Weiner who provided excellent compassionate care.

Friends may call Thursday July 1, 2021 from 5 to 7PM at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday July 2, 2021 at 10AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Niles.

Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations continue to be made in Carol's name to the St. Joseph's ICU team or to your local frontline healthcare workers.
