Catherine B. "Cathy" Bittman, 77, of Austintown, passed away on Sunday September 8, 2024 at St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital. She was born February 9, 1947 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania the daughter of William Davison and Mary Ethel Adams Davison Blough. Cathy was a 1965 graduate of Ferndale-Dale High School  and  graduated nursing school in 1968. She was employed at Autumn Hills Nursing Home for 20 years as a nurse then as Director of Nursing retiring in 2008. Cathy's greatest joy was baking with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed sewing and genealogy. Cathy participated in Niles and Warren Relay for Life. She was also a girl scout troop leader and active in Niles School PTA. She will be sadly missed by her husband Arthur John Bittman Sr. whom she married August 31, 1968, a son A.J. Bittman of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, a daughter Amy Blackburn of Austintown, a sister Alice Vargo of Austintown, two grandchildren, Marissa Blackburn and Megan Blackburn(Zach Patterson), and two great-grandchildren, Haven Patterson and Caden Patterson. She was preceded in death by a brother William Joseph Davison and a sister Mary Ann Davison. Friends may call from 5 to 7PM Wednesday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles. Funeral services will be held 10AM Thursday at the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles. Burial will be in Howland Township Cemetery.
