Catherine J. Libertyn, 89, of Mineral Ridge, formerly of Niles died at 5:30AM Sunday, December 19, 2010, at Briarfield at The Ridge in Mineral Ridge.

She was born June 10, 1921 in Mineral Ridge the daughter of Nicholas and Mary Yuran Bondar.

Catherine was a graduate of Youngstown South High School, a homemaker, member of St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church in Campbell, the Orthodox Club, and enjoyed sewing, and crocheting.

Her husband Joseph Libertyn whom she married February 9,1957 died March 6, 1989.

Catherine, who called everyone "Pumpkin" will be deeply missed by a daughter Caroline Lorent and her husband John of Lake Milton, Ohio, two brothers, Paul Bondar of Sarasota, Florida, and John Bondar and his wife Ilene of Austintown, and a grandaughter, Natachia C. Lorent, who was her pride and joy.

She is preceded in death by a son Kenneth D. Libertyn, and three sisters, Mary Berger, Elizabeth Makarski, and Fannie Stiles.

Friends may call Wednesday from 9:30 to 11AM at The St. John The Baptist Orthodox Church in Campbell, 305 Struthers-Liberty Road, Campbell, Ohio 44405.

Funeral Services will held 11AM Wednesday at The St. John The Baptist Orthodox Church in Campbell with Father Andrew D. Nelko officiating.

Burial will be in St. John The Baptist Orthodox Cemetery.
