Charlene J. DelFrate, 82, of Girard, died at 1:25AM Friday October 28, 2016 at Hospice of The Valley Hospice House in Poland.

She was born June 8, 1934 in Cuyahoga Falls the daughter of Frank and Jeanette Pollock Haymaker.

She was employed at Cicero's Market in Niles for eight years, a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles, Mount Carmel Society, festival volunteer, enjoyed cooking for family and friends and gardening.

Her husband Jack DelFrate whom she married October 14, 1951 died September 21, 2003.

She will be deeply missed by a son, Mark DelFrate and his wife Janet of Boardman, a brother Bob Haymaker and his wife Julie of Mesa, Arizona, and a sister Janet Yamada and her husband Yosh of Raleigh, North Carolina.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Frank Haymaker, Paul Haymaker, Edward Haymaker, and Jack Haymaker, and a sister Ruth Gilmore.

Friends may call Monday from 8:30AM to 9:30AM at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10AM Monday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles preceded by a 9:30AM prayer service at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery in Fairlawn, Ohio.
