Cheryl J. Parsons, age 72, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 13, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital.

She was born on April 12, 1953 in Warren, the daughter of Robert and Harriet Luster Wood.

Cheryl was a class of 1971 Warren Harding High School graduate. She was a woman of profound faith and a dedicated member of the Austintown Community Church. Her heart for service extended deep into the community; she served as a Chaplain in Trumbull County, providing comfort to those in their darkest hours. She was also a passionate advocate for the March of Dimes, served as the co-chair of NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness), and director at the Warren Rescue Mission working tirelessly to support families and individuals in need.

After retiring from General Motors in 2009 following a 30-year career, Cheryl spent her time pursuing the things she loved most. She had a lifelong passion for cars and was a familiar face at local car cruises. However, her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren.

On July 1,1983, she married her devoted husband, Larry J. Parsons, who survives her. Together, they built a life centered on family and their beloved dog, Sasha.

She is survived by her two daughters, Tiffany Rossi of Warren and Holly (Mark) Kalamets of Kentucky; and her brother, Bobby Wood of Arizona.

Cheryl’s legacy lives on through her 13 grandchildren: Zachary Tomlin, Ashley Tomlin, Christian Tomlin, Aaron Jenkins, Natilee Schmitt, Daniel Schmitt, Nathaniel Holden, Cassie Boyer, Seth Kalamets, Owen Kalamets, Jason Fenstermaker, Maddie Fenstermaker, and Matthew Fenstermaker. She was also the proud great-grandmother of 10 great-grandchildren.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, three daughters, Tawnya Jenkins, Shayna Jenkins, and Heather Fenstermaker; three brothers, Mark, David, and John Wood; and a great-grandson, Jakob Allen Wood Braun.

Memorial service will be held at 10:30am on Friday February 27th at the Austintown Community Church 242 South Canfield Niles Rd. Youngstown, Ohio 44515. Doors will open at 10:00am.
