Concetta Maria Nicastro, 89, of Niles, passed away with her loving family at her side at 9:18AM September 18 2010 at her residence.

She was born March 31, 1921 in Bagnoli Irpino, Italy the daughter of Aniello and Marianna Basile Russo.

She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Niles and the Immaculate Conception Society.

Her husband Aniello Nicasto whom she married July 4, 1943 died September 14, 1999.

She will be deeply missed by two sons Tommaso Nicastro and his wife Kathy of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Anthony Nicastro and his wife Caterina of Niles, a daughter Tina Faith and her husband Richard of Niles, two brothers, Antonio Russo and Domenico Russo both of Pisa, Italy, a sister Annina Nicastro of Pisa, Italy, and six grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by two sisters, Antionette Vivolo and Nuccia Gatta.

Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 8PM at the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles where The Immaculate Conception Society will conduct prayers at 4:45PM and The Mt. Carmel Bereavement Ministry will conduct prayers at 7:30PM.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9:30AM Wednesday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Niles, with Fr. Larry Frient officiating, preceded by a 9:00AM prayer service at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
