Cynthia LaLama Ricciulli, 72, of Niles died 11:14am Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Hospice House in Poland, with her family by her side. Cindy was born March 29, 1952, in Youngstown, the daughter of Gaetano and Mary Liberatore LaLama. She was a 1970 graduate of Poland High School and received her Associate of Arts degree in Applied Science and Technology from Youngstown State University in the summer of 1981. She was employed as an engineering technician at Packard Delphi for 29 years before retiring in 2001. Cindy was a member of Saint Pope John the XXIII Parish / Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Her love and passion in raising her daughter Natalie with autism / Rett Syndrome inspired her to increase awareness and support for children with these and similar developmental disabilities, before much was known about the conditions. This led Cindy to be a founding charter member of the Tri County Autism Society, which would later become the Rich Center for Autism, and an integral part in starting the Camelot Center. She was a member of the Warren Women's Junior League and enjoyed golf, bowling, and bocce. Her husband of 41 years Phillip Ricciulli, whom she married December 22, 1973, died on May 17, 2015. Cindy and Phillip celebrated their Italian heritage and love for family through travel, cooking, and winemaking. They passed these traditions on to their children and grandchildren, who they loved and adored. She will be deeply missed by her three daughters, Sonya Samuels of Niles, Dr. Angel Ricciulli and her husband Michael Ciolli of Niles, Natalie Ricciulli of Niles, her brother Richard LaLama and his wife Lorrie of San Diego, California, two sisters, Mary Lou Allen and her husband John of Poland, Bettina Phelps of Sarasota, Florida, and her three grandchildren Hunter Artman, Ave Ciolli, and Pia Ciolli. Also surviving is her companion Bill Casey, with whom she created cherished memories in the last years of her life. She is preceded in death by her parents and son-in-law Robert Artman. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11AM Friday, December 20, 2024, at Saint Pope John the XXIII Parish / Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 381 Robbins Ave. Niles, Ohio 44446. Cindy will be laid to rest with her husband at Greenhaven Cemetery in Canfield. In lieu of flowers, material contributions can be made in Cindy's memory to Head for the Cure in support or brain cancer research, or Mercy Health Hospice of the Valley Hospice House by Compassus.
