David J. Gill Sr., 76, of Warren, passed away on Wednesday   March 5, 2025 at Mercy Health St. Joseph's Warren Hospital. He was born March 8, 1948 in Warren the son of Robert and Jane Hertua Gill. David was a 1966 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and employed at the former RTI as a press operator for 47 years retiring in 2019. He was a member of Saint Pope John XXIII Parish-Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles and coached softball for many years. His first wife Carol Jean Ross Gill whom he married July 14, 1966 died December 11, 1998. He will be deeply missed by his wife Theresa Goins Gill whom he married October 16, 2010, a son David J. Gill Jr.( Gina) of Niles, a  daughter, Christine Miller( Greg ) of Niles, three step-daughters Jennifer Soqui(Doug Hawley) of North Hollywood, California, Jennifer Fisher(Natalie) of Austintown, and Victoria Soqui(Frank La Rusch) of Tampa, Florida, two brothers, Robert Gill(Stella) of Warren and Kevin Gill of Bristol, eight grandchildren, Cody Miller(Jennifer), Chloe Miller, Sara Fuller(Mark), David J. Gill III, Minalea Tokes, Jordan, Bentley, and Ethan La Rusch, and four great-grandchildren, Harper, Hudsyn, Eloise and Elizabeth. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Karen Ford. Friends may call from 5 to 7PM Tuesday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11AM Wednesday at Saint Pope John XXIII Parish-Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles, preceded by a 10:30AM prayer service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pineview Cemetery.
