David A. Taylor, 70, of Niles, passed away on Thursday June 19, 2025 at Mercy Health St. Joseph's Warren Hospital. He was born May 8, 1955 in Ravenna the eldest son of Harold and Barbara Ann(Deluca) Taylor. David was a 1973 graduate of Ravenna High School and graduated from Kent State University in 1977 with his Bachelor's Degree in Biology. He married Kim Scarnecchia on December 18, 1982 and together they had two beautiful sons Vincent and Dominic. Dave retired from Graybar Electric in 2023 after 35 years of service, grateful for the friends he had made there through the years. He was a wonderful husband and father who loved his family more than anything in the world and lived a full life of love, laughter, and giving. Dave loved to travel with his wife and friends. Visiting many places including his childhood dream of going to Egypt and Italy. He was a member of Saint Pope John XXIII Parish-Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, The Italian Club, an avid reader exchanging books with his cousin next door, enjoyed gardening and loved sharing his garden with anyone that visited, fishing with Capn' Joe on Lake Erie catching walleye, making wine with his father-in-law Ron, and cooking for his family and friends. He leaves behind his wife of 42 years Kim Taylor, son Dominic of Niles, brothers and sisters, Jim(Kelly)Taylor of Fairmont, WV, Natalie(William)Wright of Louisville, Pam(Dan)Au of Louisville, Angela(Stephen)Francis of Randolph, Arleen(Steven)Pauff of Newnan,Ga, Phillip(Denice)Taylor of Medina, Roberta Taylor Bavaro of Seville, Victoria(David)Wojcik, and Roger(Christina)Taylor of North Canton, sister-in-law Susan Scarnecchia of Warren, brother-in-law Ron(Anita)Scarnecchia of Jacksonville, Fla, and many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his son Vincent Taylor and his parents Harold and Barbara Taylor. There will be a memorial mass at 11AM Saturday at Saint Pope John XXIII Parish-Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Niles. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to The Vincent Anthony Taylor Memorial Scholarship C/O Niles McKinley High School, The Second Harvest Food Bank of Mahoning County or a donation of a book to a library of choice in his memory. Arrangements are being handled by The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
