Obituary

Diana K. Ragozine,70, of Bristolville,  entered eternal peace Friday, December 30, 2022 with her husband by her side holding her hand. Born October 24, 1952, the daughter of the late Nicholas and Dolores Derov.  She was a 1970 graduate from Levittsburg High School and worked several years at General Motors before retiring. Diana's Christian faith was an essential part of her life, she had a strong faith in God and she believed in the power of prayer for all things. God and family were the most important things in her life. When she wasn't with her family, her focus was on mentoring and inspiring others going through difficult times in their lives. She was always there to listen and wasn't afraid to give tough love when needed. Diana would lovingly remind you that "This too shall pass." During the summer she loved watching the hummingbirds, deer, and mallards outside of her window. Diana loved her time in Florida, their many concerts and getting dressed up to attend special events with her husband.  She also cherished her beginning and end of summer trips to Cook Forest with her best friend, Marylyn.  She loved spending time with all of her sisters in recovery, talks with her Cypress Drive Fort Myers family, going shopping, purse bingo, and making Christmas cookies for those she loved.  Her family will attempt to recreate her masterpieces, but know they will not meet The Lady Di standard. Recently, she and David got another dog, Vito. As though she knew he would be needed to keep David company and remind him to smile. Anyone who knew Diana knew she loved beautiful and sparkly things –we can only imagine her face when she saw the sparkly gates of heaven. She will be deeply missed and is survived by her husband, David, whom she married on September 1, 1973.  He was her rock throughout their 49 years of marriage and they were the center of each other's worlds for even longer. Diana  was a loving and supportive mother to her three children; Tiffany (Clinton) Fisher, David Ragozine, and Nicole (Kristopher) Whitsel.  They will miss her greatly and their hearts will forever have a missing piece. Diana was known as Nunnie to all and was happiest when surrounded by "her babies."  Diana's pride and joy were her grandchildren;  Cameron, Dominic, Niko, Travis, Hailey, and Christian. She had such delight in being a great-grandmother to Sofia and Matteo. Diana leaves behind and will be greatly missed by her brother Robert Derov, sister Michelle "Jean" Bentz, many brothers- and sisters-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews and their families. Diana was greeted in heaven by her parents, Nicholas and Dolores Derov, as well as Sam and Lucille Ragozine, her in-laws, whom she loved dearly.  She was also preceded in death by a sister, Dolores Martin. While she will be missed by many, we are thankful she is now at peace and holding her beloved dog, Rocky, in her arms again. Love you more! We love you to the moon and back!
