IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Don A.
Drennen Iii
April 2, 1960 – December 8, 2024
Don A. Drennen III of Transfer, PA passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 8, 2024. He was born on April 2, 1960 in Cincinnati, OH. He graduated from Howland High School in Warren, OH in 1978, where he was on the football and wrestling teams. He was a sprinkler fitter by trade and worked with both his father and brother for many years at Scholl Choffin, Fire Foe and Aven, until an injury forced him to retire before he was ready.
Don was by far one of the kindest humans on earth. His heart, while broken a few times, was bigger than we all deserved. He would help anyone and everyone at any time, including family, friends, neighbors and strangers. He expected nothing in return.
Don adored his parents. After his dad passed away, he made sure his mom had everything she needed. This included spending weekends at her house, doing home repairs, and traveling with her to San Diego and Houston. In the summers, he planted a tomato garden so he could overnight homegrown tomatoes from PA to his sister in Houston because he knew how much she missed them. He loved playing darts with his siblings, nieces and nephews. He had a hard time using his hands due to severe damage brought on by years of installing fire sprinkler systems in subzero temps but some how he always came through for the 'boys' team when needed.
Don was an organ donor and per his wishes, his corneas were donated to a person in need upon his passing.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, Don A., Jr. and Patricia (Derskovic) Drennen, and his brother-in-law Bill Campbell. Left to mourn his kind soul are his sisters Jennie Campbell, Kathy (Chuck) Campbell, and Suzie (Nick) Roberts; and brothers John Drennen and Chuck (Becky) Drennen, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, his rescue dog Britti and his special friend Pam.
Per Don's request, cremation has already taken place. There will be no services. Donations to celebrate Don's life can be made in Don's memory to Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County, Inc.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles
