Donald R. "Buzzy" Utterback Sr., 75 of Niles, Ohio died at 10:20PM Tuesday February 2, 2010 at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer with his loving family at his side.

He was born July 30, 1934 in Rices Landing, Pennsylvania the son of George Washington and Marie Snyder Utterback.

Donald was a 1953 graduate of Oliver Wendell Holmes in Cleveland, employed in the door line at General Motors Lordstown for 33 1/2 years before retiring in 1989 and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Warren.

He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, reading, camping, traveling, bowling, and baseball, and an avid Cleveland Indians fan.

His wife Clara Jane "Bobbie" Anderson Utterback whom he married April 7, 1956 died March 30, 1986.

He will be deeply missed by three sons Donald R. Utterback Jr. and his wife Luann of Niles, Dale R. Utterback and his wife Kim of Greer, South Carolina, David R. Utterback of Niles, four daughters, Diane M. Utterback Coen and her husband Joe of Simpsonville, South Carolina Debbie R. Utterback O'Connor and her husband Pat of Sharpsville, Pennsylvania, Linda Braham and her husband Randy with whom he made his home and Laura Cessna and her husband Paul of Fort Pierce, Florida, two brothers, Joseph Utterback and his wife Flo of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, George E. Utterback and his wife Cleveland, Ohio, four sisters, Effie Blystone of Newton Falls, Rose Gralka and her husband Stan of Cortland, Ohio, Elsie Zollar and her husband Dan of Mentor, Ohio, and Linda Merriman and her husband Don of Olmsted Twp., 17 grandchildren, Donald R. Utterback III and his wife Kim, Duane M. Utterback and his wife Becky, Christopher A. Utterback, Stephanie C. Utterback, Jimmy Coen and his wife Colleen, Colleen Coen, Kelly Coen, Jean Coen, Mark Stone, Rochelle Stone, P. J. O'Connor, Taylor O'Connor, Ashley Utterback, Brittany Utterback, Bailey Braham, Brianna Braham, Blake Cessna, and 8 great-grandchildren, Ryan, Emma, Benjamin, Hanna, Dominic, Stephen, Leala, and Vander.

He is preceded in death by 2 sisters, Francis Prokop and Jane Jones.

Friends may call Thursday from 1 to 3PM and 7 to 9PM and Friday from 8:30 to 9AM at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10AM Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Warren with Frs Bernard Schmalzreid and James Walker co-officiating,preceded by a 9AM prayer service at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Meadowbrook Cemetery.
