Dorothy J. DeMont, 89, of Avon Lake, formerly of Niles, died at 4PM Saturday March 19, 2016 at Independence Village of Avon Lake.

She was born March 28, 1926 in Warren, Ohio the daughter of Alfred and Hylda Kirkland Cullumbine.

She was a 1943 graduate of Niles McKinley High School, graduated with a two year study in Interior Design in Youngstown and employed as a interior designer at numerous furniture stores for 20 years retiring in 1985. She was a member of St. Luke Episcopal Church in Niles serving on their Alter Guild and as Sunday School teacher, member of The Niles Historical Society, numerous Bridge Clubs, and enjoyed reading, playing bridge, and boating.

Her husband Edward DeMont whom she married February 1, 1946 died January 18, 1980.

Her husband Erwood "Whitey" Fusselman whom she married April 9, 1983 died April 2, 2011.

She will be deeply missed by a son Randy DeMont and his wife Donna of Evergreen, Colorado, a daughter Cheryl Watterson and her husband Bill of Avon Lake, Ohio, five grandchildren, Eric DeMont and his wife Sheila, Kristina Harris and her husband John, Craig Watterson and his wife Susan, Heather Watterson, and Justin Watterson and his wife Jaime, and three great-grandchildren, Harley DeMont, Zoe Watterson, and Ruby Watterson.

She was preceded in death by a brother Alfred "Norman" Cullumbine.

Friends may call from 11AM to noon Wednesday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.

Funeral services will be held noon Wednesday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles with Father Donald Hall officiating.

Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
