Edward Datchuk, 86, of McDonald, died at 3:52 PM Tuesday June 21, 2016 at Select Specialty Hospital at St. Joe's in Warren surrounded by his loving family.

He was born January 11, 1930 in Niles the son of George and Sarah Mlynarczk Datchuk.

He was employed as a boilermaker for 32 years at U.S. Steel McDonald Works retiring in 1979, a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in McDonald and enjoyed listening to Polka Music. He also enjoyed spending time with family, especially watching his grandchildren play sports and other activities, coaching his sons little league baseball teams in McDonald, an avid Detroit Tigers fan, and a United States Army Veteran.

He will be deeply missed by his wife Delores Kijowski Datchuk whom he married July 31, 1954 a son Edward D. Datchuk and his wife Deborah of Hubbard, a daughter Christine Datchuk of McDonald, a brother George Datchuk of Niles, two grandchildren Kevin Datchuk, and Kelli Paden and her husband Ron, and two great-grandchildren, Owen and Everett Paden.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, John Datchuk, Pete Datchuk, and Stanley Datchuk, and a sister Sophie Ruman.

Friends may call Friday from 5 to 7PM at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.

Funeral Services will be held 7PM Friday at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles with Father Edward Brienz officiating. Ed will be honored for his military service immediately following the services at the funeral home.
