Obituary

Eileen F. DeLucia, 95, of Niles, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024 with her family by her side. The daughter of Francis and Violet Stein McGuirk, she was born on June 26, 1928 and lived her whole life in Niles. Eileen was a 1946 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and also attended Youngstown Business College. She worked at the candy counter at F.W. Woolworth company and for the photographer PTL Fonce. While working as head cashier at the  A &P she met the love of her life, Angelo DeLucia, whom she married May 23, 1953. They were married for 60 years until his passing on August 29, 2013. Together they owned and operated the TIme Saver Dairy, on Pearl Street in Niles. A lifelong member of St. Stephen Church in Niles, she was a member of the Niles Catholic Women's Club. Eileen was a Girl Scout Troop Leader, a hospital volunteer and an avid reader. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. Eileen a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt will be deeply missed by: three sons, James (Theresa) of Newport News, VA, Ralph (Susan) of Cobbs Creek, VA, and Joseph (Suzie) of New Middletown; five daughters Patti (David) Tricomi of Howland, Linda (Joe) Costine of Sunset Beach, NC, Laurie DeLucia of Howland, Tina DeLucia of Howland, and Angela DeLucia of Niles; grandchildren Michael (Amy) Tricomi, Rachel Tricomi, Tanner (TIffany) Costine, Chrissy Bellino, Angela DeLucia, Scott DeLucia, Tony (Donna) DeLucia, Danielle DeLucia (Mike), Nicholas DeLucia, and Sarah DeLucia; great grandchildren Kylee McDonough, Gianna Tricomi, and Dominic Tricomi. Eileen will remain in the hearts of her siblings Marilyn (John) Pela, Barbara Mitrega, Karen Kitts-Stephenson, Brian (Nancy) McGuirk, Michele Bloom along with her sister-in-law Edith Pallante and many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Candy Peyatt, who was not only a caregiver but became one of the family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Raymond McGuirk, and sisters JoAnn Frost and Maureen O'Shea. Friends may call from 9 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Niles preceded by a 10:30am prayer service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Niles City Cemetery. The family requests that you please consider wearing a mask when paying respects at the funeral home and when attending services.
