Eleanor Teresa Bernard Reigle, 88, of Niles was reunited with her husband Rev. Carmine Reigle as she passed on to glory at 1:00PM Sunday April 20, 2014 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital.

She was born October 17, 1925 in Youngstown the daughter of Sam and Constance Panza Bernard.

She was actively involved in assisting her husband Rev Reigle in many facets of church ministry, including teaching Sunday School classes, organizing and leading women's ministries, District Secretary for CCNA, youth leader, plus leading the music ministry by playing piano. The church enjoyed her piano playing and she encouraged and mentored several others.

Eleanor and her husband hosted many speakers and singers during the 41 years of ministry at Niles Christian Assembly providing many of them with her famous specialty Italian dishes. She was a giver who gained much pleasure from helping others whether it be financially, spiritually, or by counseling them. She was the perfect example of a person who not only talked about living a Christian life, but showed it daily by being an example to many people.

Some of her favorite past-times included knitting, reading various religious books and periodicals, and traveling. Among the highlights of her many travels with her husband was visiting The Holy Land several times, Hawaii, and Toronto. She had an engaging smile and a genuine concern for others and loved to laugh. She was a speaker at several functions which involved the district and local levels. Outgoing and personable, she gave of herself as God had blessed her with many talents. She derived much pleasure from being with people and having good conversation with a hot cup of coffee.

Her husband Rev. Carmine Reigle whom she married June 2, 1945 died August 31, 2010.

She will be deeply missed by her son Ronald C. Reigle of Niles, a brother Ernest Bernard and his wife Dorothy of Columbiana, Ohio, and two sisters, Eva Bernard Stigliano of Niles and Clara Bernard Bottroff and her husband Mert of Huntington Beach, California.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Gene Bernard and Frank Bernard.

Friends may call from 5 to 8PM Thursday at the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles and 10 to 11AM Friday at Niles Christian Assembly, 672 North Road, Niles, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held at 11AM Friday at Niles Christian Assembly with Pastors John Mizgerd, James Holbrook, and Art Nicolli officiating.

Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
