Elizabeth  "Betty" Augusta, 91, of Niles passed away on Thursday November 25, 2021 at The Windsor House of Champion. She was born October 29, 1930 in Youngstown the daughter of Sam and Santa DiRocco Collovecchio. Betty retired after 35 years of service from Packard Electric in 1993, was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles, enjoyed casino and Vegas trips, spending time with her grandchildren, and going out for breakfast at Bob Evans. Her husband Samuel J. Augusta Jr. whom she married May 28, 1949 died April 13, 2006. She will be deeply missed by her son Samuel J. Augusta III of Niles and three grandchildren, Jason, Joey, and Jonathon. She was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Collovecchio and two sisters, Rose Leone and Dorothy Agnone. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11AM Tuesday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles where friends and family coming to pay their respects are pleased asked to wear facial coverings. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
